cells are the basic unit of life, all living organisms are composed of cells. An area /region composed of many organisms of a single species is called a population.  Community is composed of many population in a given area.  These populations interact with each other and comprise an Ecosystem. An ecosystem involves the action of biological community, abiotic factors and biotic factors. abiotic and biotic composition and structure is determined by the state of a number of interrelated environmental factors. Biotic factors include all living things such as primary producers, herbivores, carnivors, etc.  while abiotic factors involve non-living things such as sunlight, temperature, precipitation, nutrients, etc.
